klettke > My quick painting in less than 2 hours. I'm not through with it, and it may not be saved. This attempt was a combination of the photo and Jim Micheal's demonstration painting and things got a bit messed up. It needs additional shadows, etc. and it might be better to just start over again.

klettke > This was my first attempt (done at home) at painting the Maine lighthouse from Michael's photo. This painting was supposed to be finished and brought to the first day of an intermediate painting class at the Plymouth Art Center. It took me about 12 hours to paint. I decided to leave out the red barn and made the tree on the left shorter. When we got to class, Michaels announced that he didn't even want to see our 1st lighthouse attempt!
